Skincare Before Your Wedding: What to Do, What to Leave

Glow facials, polishing and acne care — how to prepare skin for bridal makeup without last-minute surprises.

Bridal makeup can only be as refined as the skin beneath it. That does not mean aggressive treatments in the final fortnight. It means a calm, consistent plan that leaves the surface even, comfortable and able to hold product through a long day.

Start earlier than you think

If you are new to facials, begin six to eight weeks before the first function. Skin should not meet a new active, a new polish or a new practitioner on the eve of nikkah. Consistency — a deep cleanse, a glow facial, a polish timed with enough recovery — will always outlast a single dramatic appointment.

What belongs in the plan

Deep cleansing for congestion. Glow and brightening care for uneven tone. Polishing for texture, scheduled so any tightness has time to settle. Acne care that is steady rather than severe. We would rather you arrive at your trial with quieter skin than with skin still reacting.

What to leave

New products bought in a panic, untested at-home peels, and last-minute experiments inspired by a reel. Your wedding week is for familiar water, familiar moisturiser and sleep where you can find it. Leave invention to the months before.

If you would like a skin plan mapped to your function dates, see our facial menu or speak with the salon.
