A Pakistani wedding is not one look. It is a sequence — nikkah, mehndi, barat, walima — each with its own light, fabric and pace. Beauty that lasts through that sequence is planned, not improvised on the morning of barat.
At Jugnu’s Salon, we encourage brides to treat beauty as part of the wedding architecture. The aim is not more appointments. It is the right appointments, in the right order.
Eight to ten weeks before
Begin with a consultation. Bring outfit swatches, jewellery references and any photographs that feel like you. This is when we discuss hair length, extensions, brow shape and whether keratin or a colour refresh belongs in the plan. Skin is assessed honestly: congestion, dryness and pigmentation all behave differently under heavy bridal makeup.
Six weeks before
Schedule a bridal trial if you want one. A trial is not a full dress rehearsal of jewellery and dupatta unless you prefer it that way. It is a study of undertone, eye shape and how your skin wears product after several hours. Hair styling can be mapped in the same sitting so bun height and jewellery placement are decided together.
If keratin, protein care or a significant colour change is part of your plan, this is the window — not the week of the functions.
Three to four weeks before
Facials belong here, not the night before. Glow and polishing treatments need time for the skin to settle. Acne-prone skin, in particular, should not be surprised by a new ritual on the eve of mehndi.
The function week
Keep skincare familiar. Confirm timings for each function with our desk, including how early you wish to be ready at home. Mehndi makeup can be warmer and more festive. Barat usually asks for more structure and staying power. Walima often wants a softer, luminous finish that still reads as bridal in photographs.
If you would like to map your own week with us, book a bridal consultation at our Kohinoor City salon in Faisalabad.
